About the Course
What you will learn:

How to design a 10-15 piece stained glass panel (approx. 30cm square or circular)
-
Safe handling of materials.
-
Glass cutting, ‘leading up’ and soldering techniques.
-
Post-course instructions on cementing, cleaning, and polishing of your panel.

What is included:

A wide range of coloured and textured glass.
-
All materials, tools, and safety equipment.
-
Tea and coffee.
Optional: Opportunity to purchase a readymade stand for your panel, prices range from £45 to £60 or to have hooks fitted for free.
What to bring on the day:

Your own design or one found online (these can be adapted to suit your ideas).

Lunch, snacks and refreshments.

Suitable clothing and footwear (no open-toe shoes).

Who is the course for?

No prior experience is needed; the course is suitable for beginners and improvers alike.
-
The course is for adults only (14yrs upwards if attending with a parent or guardian).
-
The class is not recommended for expectant or nursing mothers due to our handling of lead.
-
8 people maximum per class. Larger group enquiries are welcome.


The Venue
Llangathen Temperance Hall, Llangathen, SA32 8QH (next to Aberglasney Gardens).
Facilities:
Free and plentiful parking spaces.
Kitchen, toilets and washroom on-site.
The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Collection of the panels post course:
Simon will handle the final touches: cementing, cleaning, polishing and attaching hooks if required.
Collections from Simon Howard's workshop in Llandeilo on a date that suits you or delivery can be organised.
